It is interesting to hear the answers of couples when i ask them what is the first thing that come to their minds when I say the word, childbirth. The fathers say, family, expenses, fatherhood, hospital, blood, son, parenting… The would be mothers answer, baby, tension, new life, fear, pain, pregnancy, aches, motherhood…
Did you know that childbirth clases were started by Dr. Dick Read? He coined the word natural childbirth. He sow how painful the births were and wanted to help the complaining laboring mothers. He thought the solution was to be able to stop the pain fear tension cycle through education. That’s how childbirth classes were started. thank goodness for Dr. REad, the father of natural childbirth.
